With swimsuits on and their breath held, they faced their cold challenge - four weeks of ice bathing, which turned out to be more than just a physical trial. From improved sleep quality and concentration to increased confidence and mental well-being, the students' dips into the cold waves revealed strong benefits that extend far beyond the physical.

This blog post takes you on a journey into Skibelund Efterskole. In January, Nordkilde used the students of Skibelund Gymnastik and Sports Efterskole to find out what ice bathing does for them. Over the four-week period, students had to ice bathe a minimum of three times a week. At the end of the four weeks, students were required to answer a questionnaire on how their sleep, concentration, mood, and overall well-being had developed in their daily lives.
